JJ World Tour 2009

Very very nice lightsticks. :) The World Tour 2009 kicked off in Singapore, one day after his birthday. Am lazy to go into details, but I enjoyed the whole thing rather alot. Just a few pictures to represent the significant moments during the concert.

First introduction of the dancers in the costumes. They are extremely cute..

Fan Fan. She's sooooooooooooo pretty and elegant, and 1cm shorter than JJ. -.- Hahaha. But she did a very good job with the songs that she sang with JJ! I especially like the 黑白配 that they sang together. The fact that I liked that song originally alot helped too, haha! She certainly can hold herself well in such situations.. Which is more than what I could say for the other special guests..

The Lin family went up to perform, with mum playing pipa, dad playing erhu, and brother playing piano. The dad even sang a portion of the song! It was very nicely done, and the fact that a family is up on stage performing together added so much value to its worth. I like!!

All the lights shining on him alone and his piano. I totally like the effects here..

Thanks the 9 people who shared for the price of going to see JJ! :D

Coming Soon

I caught the movie on friday midnight time. Woots. It was good, I think. I like the storyline, I like the few scary antics that they took, but the eye gorging was =.= gory. A few parts had me scared, but I can't remember which, hahahaha. All in all, the whole suspense was good! The little twist in the middle of the story was nicely done too, because I didn't expect that. It's one of the better horror stories in the recent years! Definitely comparable to Shutter and the likes. :D

And yes, I had a backpack when I watched the ghost jump onto the backpack in the movie, -.-

Met Beeshin who was gonna watch the same movie too. Same row somemore!! So qiao lol.

I want to watch Shinjuku incident!!

Joyce is very sleepy!

Lack of sleep after spending the night at the usual place. Had to do unpacking over at PA@Lavender the following day, PLUS Junhong was out of camp, so we naturally met up like, as usual, and spent the night over at his house. It's not exactly far, but it's not super duper near too. I'm guessing it's a walk between 15-20minutes from his house to PA@Lavender..

Had 2 rounds of mahjong, in which I don't know why, but I was rather lucky. Won only 5 times in one round, and another 5 times in the second round. But the 5 times, 4 of them were 4tai, and that earned me a handsome bit of money. Second round almost like that too.. Except that we didn't complete the round, because my gastric pain was throwing a rather bad tantrum. :\ I seem to have plenty of ailments :| the eye, the gastric, the foot, the constant headache, palpitations, and plenty of mini accidents today while unpacking.

So in the end, I won around 20 bucks. 0_o For 10 20 cents, that's quite a fair bit of money!

Unfortunately, that 20 bucks weren't sufficient to cover lunch, appointment, dinner money.

Went down to SNEC again for a follow up appointment after I couldn't stand the stinging in my eyes any longer. Went down rather early and wasted the most of my time waiting around for my consultation. Reached at 2 plus, consultation was at 4 plus, and I finally left the place at 5 plus after waiting for the pharmacy to dispense my ointment as well. ...

Doctor said my lower eyelashes tend to point into the eyeball instead of outwards, causing some dry spots which causes irritation.. And hence the stinging of the eye. I got a prescription for the ointment to soothe my eyes and see if the condition will persist, because apparently the other option is eyelid surgery, to correct the eyelashes such that they are not pointing inwards..

It could very well be the reason why I like to rub my eyes soooooooooooooo much.

Didn't really tell anyone about the appointment (parents included), because I didn't know what would come out of the visit, and 80 bucks. Anyways, I'm just relieved that I'm not going blind yet or anything, hahahas.

Googled abit for the condition, and I think I found something that kind of fits the descripton.

---------------------------------------------------------

The two most significant eyelash abnormalities are called entropion and ectropion. Entropion is a turning in, or inversion, of the eyelashes, in which the lashes rub against the eyeball. Ectropion is an outward turning of the eyelashes in which the eyelid and lashes hang down abnormally.

An inward-turning eyelid causes irritation as the lashes rub against the cornea and conjunctiva, which are the outermost parts of the eyeball. This constant scratching of the eye's surface causes redness and tearing and may set the stage for conjunctivitis, or inflammation of the membrane that covers the eyeball. Untreated conjunctivitis can, in turn, cause corneal ulceration and scarring. In the worst cases of persistent, untreated entropion, vision may be impaired due to permanent damage to the cornea.

Shrugs.

Ikea time again tomorrow! Unpacking ended relatively early today, so we were thinking of heading down to Ikea for some zuo bo time, but apparently I needed to be at home for dinner (dad wasn't home), hence it was decided that we'll go to Ikea tomorrow for lunch!! Anytime, anyday. :D

Sooooo sleepy!

PA@Lavender

Officially saw the building today.

And practice room is smalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. :(

Took some photos and uploaded them to facebook. The rest of the day was spent trying to unpack some stuff.. So that I won't die badly on Thursday trying to unpack the rest..

I kind of like the decor though. And I like the 1000++ bucks glass board. Haha. And I like the fact that there are so many cabinets so nothing's really left outside. It makes things tidier and nicer looking. :)

Tomorrow's THE day that MIO guy comes to fix the MIOBOX. :D

And I'm scared, of tomorrow.

Cranky MIO

Suddenly acted up today, without warning, without anything, right after I surfed finished facebook after coming back from my tuition + run. :(

House phone's down. Internet's down. Had to use borrowed wireless from my neighbour and it's unstable, probably because of the distance. Have to log off soon because I really am irritated at the fact that I keep losing the connection (totally not irritated at my neighbour though, she's the entire reason why I'm still able to blog this now!) and I have to wake up uber early tmr for PA moving house day. It's really, uber early..

And I'm feeling a little tired too already.

Nights, world.

The last of the packing

Was done during Friday. I'm proud to announce that the official rough packing of the scores has been done! Towards the end, was so sian of it that I just threw everything else into another box though. Hahaha. Pack more when we officially move ba.. But the last of the packing is finally done! Friday was supposedly the last day of seeing PA until the day of moving house.. But apparently it wasn't to be (because I went down during Saturday too).

Took a lot of photos to commemorate the old PA site because after all, I've been walking through that gate for so many years! From year 2000, all the way till 2009.. And I haven't the slightest idea where the new PA site will be.. Guess I'll only know it on Tuesday itself when we move all the stuff to Lavender! Tuesday will be a very busy day of moving plus unpacking.. Hopefully everything will not be messy.. Photos will be up on facebook, for the 100plus photos that they manage to take?! Hahaha.

Went down to PA on Saturday again, because xiaojiu wanted to take the papers that PA was dumping, so he fetched me there after 3, and surprisingly August was in the car! Heh, so it turned out to be a "bring August to PA day" after all, and Abelyn and Meiting were so infatuated with him! (: August is definitely a charmer =D

After the trip to PA, went down to Suntec to take a look at the job fair, which was apparently quite useless, and spent the rest of the time jalan-ing with PA peepz, and went for dinner after that. Fish and Co wasn't on the top of the list for my fave restaurants, and it remained so -.- Felt so sick after finishing that chunk of oily fish! And worse still, I completely forgot that on a Saturday night, people tend to watch movies, so the movie that we wanted to watch were only left with first row seats, and it wasn't even a connected row, we had to sit separately.. So we didn't watch the movie after all, and went "home" early. =.=

Reached home only this morning, and woke up in the afternoon for some shopping! Bought a long sleeved shirt, which I thought was rather pretty. Wanted to get more, but decided to wait till the G2000 membership intake before I coughed out some of my own money, because currently I still have my vouchers to take care of the shirt's price :) I dragged my mum out to shop, and it turned out that she shopped more than me :\ but the happy thing is, she paid for nearly everything, so I didn't really lose out!

Dinner. :)

Time to prepare to watch my shows, and to prepare for tomorrow! *crosses fingers*

Ikea!

I've finally gone to Ikea, despite it being so close to me for the past few years. :D

It was a very random thing, but in the end, I just ended up in Ikea ogling over the creative furniture and thinking of meatballs everywhere I go! The endless stream of furniture made me sooooooo insignificant.

Had to drag and pull Longhui 23827864 times before he finally went to the meatball place with me and ordered meatballs. :) It was sooooooooooooooo good!!

Where the trays and utensils were taken. This so reminds me of school, especially EPFL!

The food section, and so many people took multiple trays!!! Where the deli meatballs were prepared, yumms!

The final stop, where the refillable drinks were taken. :D

And here comes the delicious photos.. This was what we ordered. YUMMS.

Before..

After!!!

More food, heh. The chicken wings were good too!!!!! But I was too full to fully appreciate them lol. And I multilated it!!

I was trying hard not to dirty my hands lol.

THANKS LONGHUI FOR THE TREAT!!!!!!! Even though the price was going down to Bugis.. Hahahahaha. I think I can go Ikea everyday!! We ate all the above during tea time, so it was quite natural that I was soooo full at dinnertime, all I ate was this:

But this is rather cool, and nice! Plus there was a 20% discount. :) Yummy goodness the whole day, gosh!

Ikea anyday!! (: I'm gonna go dream of meatballs now!

Very irritated

It's irritations the whole day, I swear.

About everything. Anything. I hated being shouted at. I hate finding closed doors. I hate being the middleman. I hate forcing people to do what they don't like to do. I hate disappointments.

At least I know, the day will be over.

Don't ask me for details for any of those abovementioned, because I doubt I will explain. And in the end I realized, I've never really changed since the start of the year. I'm still the same old me, perhaps with even lesser patience.

Start of packing week

PA has officially begun packing for the big move..

And so my scores are 3/4 way to completion.. I should be glad that people are helping out.. Because I'm quite sure I'll die if I'm doing it alone.. I'll aim to finish it tomorrow then!

Rather tired now.. It's been a long day, even though I left PA early.. Went to Shermaine's house for the second time in 2 days, since she's currently on holiday and I think I need to start giving her Physics tuition, if not the amount of work I spent in teaching her Chemistry will all go to waste, because afterall, the overall results count, not just my half. I swear, she's the first and probably the last person who will make me want to voluntarily teach her Physics.. -.- I need to go and read up on Physics soon. Haha.

Think I shall go sleep soon..

Trying not to be irritated :\

Week-long celebrations

It just seems like I'm getting lazier and lazier and giving weekly updates instead of event updates, lol. Another week just passed by like that!

The birthday celebrations started off on Tuesday. I met Liping, Longhui and Weisheng to go harborfront for some dim sum goodness at 龍門! Because I haven't been there in a while, I was actually pretty excited to head over there, such that I was willing to wake up earlier and go all the way to harborfront! So we met at Tampines, and reached harborfront on the dot at 11! Took the lift up, only to find it.. Closed.

-.-! Imagine the disappointment we felt when we saw the entrance all dark and closed. Tried another entrance which didn't work as well, and finally went to the other lift to take the lift back to the ground floor, and that side has an entrance that actually stated the opening time: 11.30am. =.=! We all thought it started at 11, and hence after the booboo, we had another half an hour to while away before the meal. Went back to the restaurant on the dot and had our fill of food! I personally thought that we didn't eat very much, but I just couldn't figure out why I was full that early.. Lol. Thanks Liping for the treat!

We left the restaurant rather early, at 1plus, and decided to catch a movie, while Weisheng headed down to PA to help AI take some random instrument.. Because I was raving about wanting to watch Pink Panther, the other 2 gave in to me and we all bought tickets for the show. Spent another 2 hours walking around doing nothing while waiting for the show to start. But I didn't regret watching, it was so funny! Albeit I think part1 was funnier. :D Clouseau rocks!

Ended up somewhat at City Hall even though I've already had dinner, -.- And reached home only at 10 plus 11.. A full day of activities tired me out.

Wednesday was a full day of activities too, though it was kind of different from Tuesday.. I spent 6 hours in PA, 3 hours at tuition, and then went out (after going home) for dinner at Bugis.. Waited for Andy to finish his POP and had a quick dinner before we went home..

I was supposed to attend Lawrence's press conference on Thursday. It was supposed to start at 10am.. and I woke up at 9.30am, awakened by Lawrence himself somemore. So paiseh! Cabbed down and walked in a while after the press conference has started.. The busy man, wanted to talk to him after the press conference ended, because that day was his birthday too! But well, he just kept on disappearing, so I had no choice but to leave first. Met my cousin because she wanted to pass me my present! I was abit mafan in meeting her, :(

Andy came to fetch me and Shaun at suntec at 2 plus, and after fetching Shaun to AI for him to terrorize people, we went down to NUS to fetch Pinyan, and I had some quality chatting time with Val! I haven't seen her in some time, so it was good that we managed to catch up on some stuff.. So after we fetched Pinyan, I went home for dinner while the rest headed off to Meiting's chalet first.. Spent a good 15 minutes searching for some lost keys which I very blur-ly kept it in a drawer -.- And hence had to cab a second time because Longhui told me she would be cutting cake like very soon. -.- In the end, the cake was only cut half an hour after I reached -.-'' Lol, the surprise of the day was Seryang, who sang this RnB version of happy birthday! Hahahahaha that's rather 可愛 of him, thanks Seryang!

The PA peepz gave me this ultra humongous card (a pen for comparison's sake) which I fully appreciated, because it came along with a super funny video which I've already transferred to my computer, :D

I appreciated their gift in my bank acct, though they shouldn't have had to spend so much! Times are bad :s Still, many thanks :)

Clement met me on Friday for this lunch/dinner appointment (2.30pm, you decide for yourself) and we headed for Soup Spoon where he treated me! :D We talked about loads of stuff, all the way till back to 4C times, and I suddenly realized I haven't seen 4C people for soooo long.. My bond for 4C wasn't really there though, actually, I don't really form close bonds with my classes somehow. Shrugs. Jap class was over in a jiffy, and I headed over to Pinyan's house with 6 starbucks drinks! Nearly spilled a lot on the way -.- Spent some time watching the Thai horror show on channel U while the guys started off with mahjong.. I somehow fell asleep before the whole mahjong tinge ended, and woke up at 10 to find the rest of them all lying in some corner, lol. So much for trying to reach PA early, in the end we still reached only at 2pm. Had loads of people helping me with my scores though! Thanks peepz :) The few of us ended up leaving the latest, because I had to sort out my scores after the rest helped me with them.. And on the way, we did something!

Trying to step all over each other, lol!

Sunday was a day of meet ups, because I went to The Cathay to meet the NUS peepz for lunch. We wanted to head to Aston's, but obviously we did not expect the 20odd people queue and hence had to change venue because I was kind of starving.. Hahaha. Billy bomber's was the choice because of the recession busters offer! 7 of us ate the set lunches and we only paid $12.50 each in the end. Kind of value for money! They gave me another humongous card and a bag! Lol, because I told them I wanted a bag that was big enuff to fit all my jap stuff :\ My current bags are either too small or it's not suitable lols. Thanks the whole bunch of them for taking time off to dine with me!

Dinner was back at Tampines, because I was craving for cheesecake! Walked into Cartel first because I reached a little earlier than expected.. And soon the whole gang arrived. :D Had a good 3 hours talking nonsense and eating good food which happened to have their prices lowered as well! Our plates were cleared away at 8.30pm, so we had no choice but to order a dessert while waiting for 9pm to come.. for the half priced cakes! The time was so worth it, hahahaha. 9pm came and we immediately went to order the cakes. SO FULL AFTER THE ENTIRE THING! Thanks the guys for their treat too :)

And with that, I kind of ended my birthday celebrations. Simple and sweet. :)

Memorable events

2 weeks after the last post passed by in a blur. The things I remembered bout the past couple of weeks are few.

1) I'm still hanging out with those payco people too often
2) THE sakae outing
3) THAT one-month-to-prepare de rejection letter
4) Singapore Entertainment Awards
5) 三張六筒 + 一炮三响

For some reason, the sakae outing has been MIA for a couple of years. The last time we all met for sakae was 2 years back already! And the last time I went to sakae was when Yuanxu was still in Singapore and we had that dizi outing, which was.. Freaking long ago. So I was pretty excited bout it, :D But I guess we totally outgrew our appetite and only cleared erm, 31 plates in all. -.- and I was actually not too bloated after that for something else! Quite amazing. Guess drinking a lot of water in the midst was not helpful in the "eat as much as you can" factor of a buffet, lols.

Singapore Entertainment Awards was a totally random thing which happened last Saturday. Chongwu happened to call me at noon time, saying that Chongtang has one extra ticket and he couldn't find anyone else, so I ended up going. I thought I would have to leave PA rather early, but in the end it was raining so heavily that we didn't leave till 6plus either. Reached the floating platform area (it's my first time in!!) at around 6.20, and it was soooooo filled with people that I doubt national day was this popular, -.- The good thing was that the queue moved fast, so we actually reached inside just a little before 7. The whole thing started at 7.30pm, and the first half of the awards was rather boring. I think 90% of the people who were there, had free tickets and were wondering what they were doing there -.-. The rest of the 10% are either xiaozhu fans or Stefanie Sun fans or JJ fans. Lol. The second half was more happening, after Energy came in, because all the big shots started to appear lol. Cheer Chen is a rather amazing person, to have 7 encores for her concert 0_o very impressed by that. And Aaron Kwok's stage! And that kantang pianist. And of coz JJ, who sang 4 songs in total, the most of all the artistes! It was weird that Stefanie Sun only sang one song.. But well since she's releasing an album soon, she will have plenty of chances for exposure :D She sure looks good, considering she's disappeared for a considerable amount of time!

Very nice view.

JJ came out to stop the audience from sleeping and jack up the atmosphere, -.- Sang a couple of songs and went in, the came out after again to sing another couple of songs sans the music arrangement, only him and the pianist, or him and the pianist and guitar. The best type of singing! :D

The hot shot of the day was of course, xiaozhu, and I have to admit, his live sounds better than his recordings.. Haha.. And I like to see him dance!

The whole concert ended at around 11, afterwhich we went for a bite and then I headed over to Pinyan's house for some more mahjong -.- Very amazing tiles were played. I've never seen 一炮三响 in my entire life before, apparently Shaun volunteered to show us all. :D

Poor bloke. Haha. All of us were waiting for his 五万 with our 三四万 somemore..

Rather irritating way to spend my sunday today, but at least I had my weekly fix of 敗犬女王. :)

Very random, but I realized that I've been spending my birthdays with pa ppl for the past few years. 2005 - VCH concert. 2006 - cycling, in which Jh accidentally got his teeth knocked off, :\ 2007 - 21st birthday dinner, 2008 - concert chalet. 2009 - Meiting's birthday chalet. :s Rather weird, I think, but it's ok. Haha.
