Ancient stuff

I caused a certain dramatic uproar in the office this morning. As usual, Vincent came out to talk talk. This IT guy came by to let him see a proposal, and then he asked me if I'm good with excel and word. So of course I'm like, oh I'm ok with it. Vincent chided the guy with a "which grad doesn't know?! Even o level graduates know!!" and somewhat the topic turned into the earliest technology i.e. phones and computers. So YP, Vincent and IT guy were reminiscing about how the first technology was surprising and after that outdated. So IT guy was talking about MS Word.

IT guy: I've been using MS Word since like, forever. But before MS Word the WordPerfect was .....

IT guy looks at me: You DO know what's WordPerfect right?

Me: What is it?

Very innocently ok.

LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH. Apart from laughing, Vincent's only response was: That was a good one!

I suddenly feel so much younger. Haven't felt this way in ages ever since I met the temps -.-

Esp when.. WordPerfect, as I googled, came out in 1980. =.=

And guess what? I'm gonna be attached to the IT guy for work because he happens to be in charge of IPU from next tuesday onwards =.=! WordPerfect! =.=

What a fast day.

Despite the fact that I just want to close my eyes and sleep the moment I woke up, the day passed by surprisingly fast, as compared to the weekend that just passed.. Which happened to be some screwed up weekend lah -.- And all the days started at 7am or 8am! Must be due to the fact that it was screwed up.. That's why we couldn't wait for the day to end -.- Saturday was the screwed up day where the only good thing that happened was we had a good breakfast -.- Sunday was also another long day because of crazy mayday fans and stupid gimmick which resulted in a long queue and wait of over 3 hours nearer to 4. Faints.

For today, just want to go home and watch my 敗犬 and have a good dinner at home because I haven't seen my parents like, in a week -.-, do some labels and scoot off to sleep early.. Headaches are becoming part of my normal routine :( And I should really refrain from being tempted by Starbucks.. And get myself all uncomfortable in the end. Bahhhh.

And I have a feeling this week will be a reach-home-parents-asleep week again..

And Vincent is super efficient to pack me off to IPU right after telling YP about it. So I guess I'm off to another new environment next week! YP will miss me though. Muahaha.

Feeling subdued

I always tend to be an oversensitive person. But lately, I can't figure out whether I'm oversensitive, or I have complete grounds to do so. I think, maybe I need to sit down quietly and reflect on what went wrong, because the number of times I'm feeling such is not just once, but twice, thrice and so on so forth. If there are so many cases, then it must be me with the problem la huh. Jokingly stating something doesn't always mean I'm joking.. I just don't like tense situations. I always feel that it's better to keep my complaints to myself instead of bitching around, because bitching almost always cause some other non existant problems. Maybe that's why it's so easy to fault me for anything. Silence doesn't always necessarily mean consent.. Or acknowledgement..

Just feeling a teeny weeny bit upset over stuff. And it always feels nice to be appreciated and acknowledged, no matter how small the contribution is.. And therefore, thanks MY even though I am still an overly blur average human who will make mistakes here and there.

I just think that I care about how others feel way too much. Maybe it's time to learn about how I myself should be feeling.

The dumb eye isn't really helping matters.

Random day

Where I have a pending 30 bucks to pay for, and

my parking still sucks big time.

Really wonder how I passed that TP.

Googling's my bestie.

Been googling quite a bit lately.

For proper stuff, for non proper stuff.. I found out some things that I've never known before, and came across some things which I thought quite described my condition. But well, never practise self diagnosis, so I'm just not gonna care too much about anything. Too many conditions, too unfamiliar.

And 3 consecutive days of headache is definitely not a happy thing.

Can wake up late tomorrow!!!

Blood donation day!

Virgin experience at blood donation. I must say, it was not all too bad. Signed up for it with XF when she came around to ask the other day, then we went down together at 11plus to donate blood! Made to fill up all kinds of declarations, -.- Which person will, at the end of the day, tick yes for "I'm not feeling well" when before that were all kinds of questions just to ensure that you're a healthy person well enough to donate clean blood!!

So after the doctor, there was this person who drew blood for some iron test, which I barely passed -.- The lady was funny. As she drew blood, she went "ok your blood should sink here" as she dripped the blood inside, and the blood stayed afloat and she went speechless. So she drew more blood for another test, then asked me to rest awhile by the side while she waited for the results.. But the moment I went off, I got caught straight to the blood sucking needle -.- But it was so fast! 5min and the whole bag was filled :\


It's a little scary seeing the needle go in and out, because the needle was huge.. -.- While I don't have a fear of needles inside me, the thought of it can still be uncomfortable -.-

Was given iron tablets. :\ Feeling perfectly fine except for the numb feeling still present in my arm. :D Happy.

The passing of the heat wave

The heat wave seems to be truly over. The yardstick?

Before the heat wave, I can switch on my fan at number1 and stay comfortably under my blanket.. When the heat wave came, I was perspiring like mad with number1. Had to switch to number2 and not have the blanket.

Yesterday, number2 was on, and I was shivering and kept wanting to switch it back to number1 mentally. But 心有餘而力不足, just couldn't make myself wake up to do that, and stayed in this condition for the rest of the night :\

Time to go back to number1 from today onwards!

So tired.

Day 2 battling with the printer

I'm much more prepared this time round. And the printer does seem to be a little faster.. Seems to be. Haha. -.-

For the unknowns, I was cooped up in the IT Centre here for the whole of yesterday and today, trying to print some booklets for Asnah.. But it turned out that CX finished the toner for the very fast printer, and hence I'm left with a super duper slow printer for the 20 sets of 20 pdfs with 20 pages on average. And the speed of the printer is like.. 2 pages, 1min 20secs. Hurray for the speed!!!!! -.- I've been getting progressively cleverer each time round. First time I came in, I printed 9 copies and that took me over an hour with nothing to do, because I didn't dare to surf the internet here, since it's not my ID but Asnah's. So I was staring blankly into space for the 1plus hours.

After lunch, I became smarter and gathered up my weapons to deal with the boredom waiting for me. While printing a second set, I went downstairs (where my level was) to collect my a math TYS, some paper, my MP3 and went back up. :D But then, I discovered that it was actually alright to surf the net, so I sent a print job at 3pm, collected it at 5.45pm, and in between I was bejeweled-ing and listening to my MP3. :\

Day 2 and I'm even more prepared with TODAY and the TYS in front of me. And there's Sher's POA textbook for later. Kept TODAY for now because Clement was on the train with me so there's no need to cure boredom during the trip down to work! And he's off school at 5.30, so there's someone to take the train back with me if he doesn't dilly dally. Heh.

Goodness, the IT help at the IT centre is playing a RPG game right now.. Damn slack la, her job! Not that I'm any better.. But at least I'm a temp. :\

I think my MP3's battery is dying.. :(

Day 3 of hell week. Looking forward to the tiny rest on Friday where I can finally reach home not at 10plus, but 7plus.

Horror of horrors!

Just did my expenditure list for May and realized I've already spent 260 bucks!! And only 10 days passed, no less. Despite my generous allowance of 20 bucks per day cap, I've still managed to exceed the budget I set for myself -.- Have identified the 3 damaging days: The day I cabbed down to work, Tuesday when I went out for dinner and shopping (for socks lor wth), and Saturday where a trip to Popular set me back by 50 bucks. And the near damaging days are all the result of PA dinners. -.- Horrors!! :( I need to save up more before Shiori appears next weekend!! I guess it's a good thing that it's exam month after all, :\

On the other hand, love megabites! I wish I can go back to eat at NUS everyday! Miss science canteen food!!!!!

Of earrings and calculators

I thought I lost one of my earrings on Saturday night.. Distinctly remember that I put both into my bag while at Pinyan's house, and I didn't take it out of my bag at all.. Then I realized the next morning, at Susian's house, that there was only one earring left in the bag.. So depressed for the morning! Can't find it in the car, not on the floor at home, not at Pinyan's house and her dad even vacuumed the floor trying to find it, but to no avail. Thought perhaps I dropped it when I fished for the umbrella inside my bag just before tuition time and resigned to the fact that it's lost..

Until I found it on my bed before I fell asleep! :D Happiness. At least my 30 bucks are not wasted :D

And I finally bought myself a calculator after 1 yr plus of a non functioning one.. Very very happy with it muahahaha. It's been so hard to manage without a proper calculator :\ 25% discount somemore! Anyone wants stuff from popular?

I do hope Pinyan wakes up in time to meet me for lunch.

The joys of little things!

5pm!

Half, or one hour to the weekend, depending on whether I'm brave or not.. Haha.

Will be watching SPCO's concert later. Can't believe it's the first CO concert in 2 yrs that I'm watching.. Haha. Because I didn't watch TJCO's concert last year! So my last concert must have been the TJCO concert 2 years ago.. -.-

AND tomorrow's a public holiday, which means I still have tuition, but there's no PA after that. Free time! One truly enjoys being free only when time is limited, I always believed in that. Heh.

Cleared all the stuff YP left for me to do, and then she told me she won't be in on monday too. Oh no! How to act busy when there's nothing to do? And apparently ADAD came out just now to chat with me and XF for around half an hour. Interpretation: he must be rather bored too. HAHA! But luckily I wasn't reading my book or something when he came out =.=

Ok, time to look at those files and cook up something for YP on tuesday.

It's one day to the weekend!

And I'm done with all the tasks for today. If I start on the task for tomorrow, pretty soon I'm sure I'll have nothing to do tomorrow. :\

Hell week's here. Tuition yesterday, today, concert tomorrow, tuition saturday and sunday and monday and tuesday and wednesday and thursday and saturday and sunday... Bahhh. It always happens during exam period.. So much so that I woke up late today because I was so tired yesterday! 27 bucks for cab fare, fierce. :(

Surprisingly exceeded my own target for month of april, which is a pretty happy thing. Hopefully the same will occur for may, june (which is a 未知数). Oh well.. hopefully..

Life is not good when there's nothing to do at work yet you have to pretend to be doing something!

I'm still craving for my japanese curryyyyyyyyyyy.

First day

All I can say is, new environment's rather rich. Pays well, and the high tech lifts are awesome to look, but not awesome to use, I think. Lol. Maybe it does save time, but I think it's a little inconvenient!

The contents of the letter of appointment is still rather shocking to me, lol.

The above, is with regards to the previous post. Lol. I just thought they look rather pretty :D

Headache. No I don't think I'm getting the swine flu, relax. It's just a periodical headache. Haha.

Lazy sunday

Spent the afternoon at mahjong.. After a whole morning + early afternoon at tuition. New tuition kid's rather weird.. I can't figure out whether he wants tuition, or not. But I will continue to observe.

Mahjong luck was damn good today. Tiles all came in one after another, and I won easily. Haha.. Just a way to waste away the whole afternoon. But it was rather funny, what with paying for the food etc.

Wondering if I should sleep now or wait for 敗犬 to be uploaded.. New environment tomorrow!
