Perspective

Today has been a nice day, albeit a day of money splurging.

Sent Andy off to Pasir Ris camp. His parents must have thought that we were crazy, but hey, I have nothing to do anyways, I don't even need to work now, why not? And it's the last we'll see of him till at least 2 weeks later! Surprisingly the food is edible leh. Haha. Took a short tour around the camp and got freaking impressed by this PC who happened to be a sniper as well. Sniper!! Freaking impressive. Haha. Cannot helped but be awed by it. Sniper! The place look decent. And Vincent Ng is damn smart in his uniform. Lols!

Went to catch Ip Man after we left the camp, and so totally did not regret catching this movie. It's the kind of movie that I've been missing for a while: Good old action stuff. Ip Man is a very impressive character, but I seem to have been drowning in pessimisim for a while, kept thinking he will die when he actually did not in the end, forgot that he still managed to teach Bruce Lee -.- I like Ip Man's calm and cool. And I liked the theatre as well, for being empty and having great leg space!

Didn't feel like going home after the movie, so we ended up at the beach.. Because the wind was so damn nice. Being at the beach is good, because the mind is really cleared up.. Talked a lot about matters, and it just feel real good to sit down with a close friend and just talk. When we were not talking, we just sat on the bench and feel the breeze. Good time to really think about lots of stuff.. And make some very important decisions..

And I guess my perspective has been getting clearer day by day, after this afternoon and during dinner. Which is a good thing I suppose..

Red cliff was followed after dinner, which was totally fab and caught me hanging on to every scene as the movie progressed.. More than 2hrs just passed like that! I can't believe only 2 1/2hrs will be released outside of Asia when part2 already showed 2hrs15min and part1 was around 2hrs as well.. What the non-Asians are missing out!! Personally I felt that Red Cliff II was better than part I, because the humour was still there, but there was a lot more action and a lot more of mind reading going on! I love the way they decipher each other's moves, and of course, Zhuge Liang. HAHA. But this part is also a tad depressing.. In the sense that you see people dying all the time for war. Good people, bad people, innocent soldiers. And you start to wonder why war was even necessary in the first place if the end product shows all the innocents killed. It's just a tad too depressing..

Took the second last train home. Been a long time since I last did that. And the second last bus home as well. End of day. Tomorrow will be another busy day because I invited some PA peepz over to my house to slack around. But I swear I will swear off organizing stuff soon.. My pet peeve is being set off all the time! :(
