Because my current Prof is in Stanford (we video conference our lectures what the..!!), I went to take a look at the past USA photos uploaded on Facebook.
This is precisely why you should take photos on a trip - to reminisce! Unfortunately, the travel log that I had promised myself to do isn't taking any form of shape yet. 3 May - it will be! (or maybe 1 June)
Suddenly felt very blessed to be able to go on long trips every year, without restrictions or considerations of a family, etc. Travelling must be a big part of my "look forward to" items every year, and I couldn't have imagined myself enjoying it so much before I went to Europe for the first time in 2006. Of course, having the moolah to travel now makes things much easier ;)
Travelling is just so therapeutic and while the preparation for the trip can be tedious (since I do free-and-easys), the day of leaving for the trip will make everything worth it! All the exciting things to see in an unknown land. That's why I hardly repeat my travels but oh Europe is such an exception because it is so bloody huge and I really like the atmosphere, scenery and architecture there.
It also holds a special place in my heart because it's THE destination where I first travelled with friends and not with family; it's the place where I have been twice; it's the place where I truly lived independently for 5 months; and I think it's the place where I grew up a fair bit. Despite the fact that this will be my third time there, it won't be the last. Definitely.
Very much looking forward to exploring the regions that I have not been before. It seems that I am slowly exploring - shifting from Western Europe gradually to the Eastern part!
P.S. Prof, if you can find this post without me even mentioning anything about class and your name, you are a superb stalker!
