From now on, I should just smile and smile and smile because if I don't, it becomes a black face.

I do think over the years, I have changed quite a fair bit. Other than becoming a cynic, that is. I've learnt to enforce my views and sometimes, at the expense of others' expectations. Quite some time ago I have realised that it's pointless making myself unhappy all the time while ensuring that others are happy. I've been a timid Joyce for what, three quarters of my life? It was time to change!

And so, change I did. Work probably did the most part in this transformation and if anything, I'm glad I changed for I wouldn't have gotten to where I am now otherwise.

But while I am happy about who I am now, I should find back that piece that tells me to be a little more sensitive to others. I guess it's not adequate, not by other people's standards.

Sigh!
