從前從前。。。

There was a little boy who did badly in studies since primary1. So his mum requested for a tutor, at primary5, and because the boy was very unbalanced in his heart, the mum asked for the tutor to tutor both kids at the same time, so the boy didn't have to watch the smaller one play when he had to do work.

But the boy did not appreciate tuition and often made this known to the tutor. Meanwhile, the smaller one was smart enough to avoid being scolded by the tutor. The tutor tried all means and ways (hard and soft) to communicate with the kids. Since they wanted to watch cartoons on saturday morning, the tutor arranged to shift tuition to wednesdays afternoons. But the boys were distracted once it reached 5pm, because it was their time to go downstairs and play with their friends. They didn't do the tuition work, so the tutor shifted the focus to coaching them in their homework, so at least they would still be doing work, even if it's for school and not extra work. And the tutor did not give them homework from tuition anymore.

One day, the boy was to have remedial lessons in school on wednesdays, so they arranged for tuition to be on mondays instead, where both boys assured the tutor that they would be home early enough for tuition. There was one monday where the smaller one had remedial lessons in school and hence that lesson to push forward to thursday. Thursday came, and the tutor had a search-for-the-kids session as usual downstairs for about 15minutes before bringing them up. Apparently the boy asked for tuition to be released half an hour after tutor found them, because he has a friend "who can only come down once a week to play, and have to go up after one hour". Of course, the tutor disagreed because who has tuition for only half an hour!? The tutor forced him to do his school work, and after that gave him a few problem sums to do. Halfway through doing, he start throwing tantrums that his friend was to go up soon and that he seldom played with his friend and yada yada..

The tutor got angry and said, "so go down if you want to!"

And the boy immediately went down.

The tutor was rather stunned, and sent a very long sms to the boy, and told the boy's brother to convey to him the message that they were to stay at home during monday, where the next tuition session was. So the next tuition session came, and the tutor reached at 3.30, to find no one opening the door, and no one answering the phone. Luckily there was a community centre nearby, and hence she went there to sit down to while away the time while waiting. At 4.15, she saw the boy whizzing past the cc, and hence decided to go up. By this time, the boy was at home already, and the dad was surprised to see the tutor, because no one told him that the tutor was coming. The boy denied knowing that the tutor was coming as well. 30 minutes into the lesson, the boy shouted downstairs to his friend that he'd be down in a while, and asked the tutor if he could go play. Of course the tutor refused, and after the dad left the house to buy food, the shouting and grumbling and debate started, and lasted for half an hour.

After that the boy saw his smaller brother downstairs, and got even more miffed because he was stuck at tuition and the brother wasn't. So the shouting went on for even longer, and when the brother came home, there was a huge shouting match over why he played downstairs. In the debacle, the boy admitted that he knew tuition was on monday at 3.30 and even asserted that he told the brother that it was 3.30 on monday.

And this is how the tutor reached at 3.30, but only left at 8pm. The tutor understood that if the mum ever sees this post, there would be nothing left of them for a next tuition session.
