We got married!

And moved!

All within a span of one week!

And I got gastric flu! Twice! Within a span of 2 weeks!

That's a lot to digest in one post, eh.

The long and short is, the never ending wedding prep IS FINALLY OVER *throws confetti

One week before the wedding, out of a sudden, all the suspicious gastric flu symptoms came out early Thursday evening, and I threw up halfway while meeting the man's friends for dinner. It was so bad I automatically asked to see a doctor and immediately got an MC for the following day. Then.. one weekend of rest (and intermittent errands) happened and suddenly it was THE WEDDING WEEK. Thank god the symptoms went away mid-week, while I chiong to finish up the rest of the to-dos, while taking care of the house renovation which was almost complete at that point of time.

I think our wedding went really well, much thanks to the venue managers and our family and friends! Our sisters and brothers are amazing. They are so independent, we hardly got asked any questions throughout the day on our wedding programme.

I loved loved loved the train of this gown :D

Banquet at InterCon was fantastic. I think I loved all the vendors I got in for the banquet. The music was stunning and Benjamin actually delivered what I wanted (One Piece banquet song xD) The roving photographer was AWESOME (that story about why it's the best decision I made is for another day).

So after all that fanfare and binging in the following two days at InterCon.. The gastric flu CAME BACK AGAIN amidst the need to move house and arrange for delivery etc. Wah piang eh.... Let's just say it's a terrible thing to stand up, feel nausea, and yet still have to clean up the house. T_T The 3 day diarrhea also didn't help matters at all.

But at last.. we moved in! And because of the sickness, I lost a fair bit of fat around the face, arm, waist (after not eating for a few days...). Hahaha blessing in disguise la hor. So we've slept in the house for a week, and man, does it feel good to have your own house (even though it means doing the chores at home and constantly monitoring for dirt and cleaning it up and worried about bugs flying in).

I love our home :D

T - 2 months (sort of)

1001 things yet to do:

1) Settle house issues (AND ROM Date along with it)
2) Settle AD montages (and copyright licences, too)

3) Photobooth and alternatives
4) Sourcing for a frame for casual shoot photos
5) Sourcing for bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen attires
6) Send wedding invites to colleagues (damn, this is really hard...)
7) Schedule food tasting
8) Go look for Si Dian Jin
9) Decor for AD venue.....

10) Select songs for Benjamin to play (and settle copyright licences, while at that)
11) Settle on the theme (and the #)
12) Choose AD gowns
13) Bringing parents to buy outfits
14) Buying furniture and
prepping for reno
15) Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I'm probably relatively calmer now than compared to 3 months ago (obviously, because of the number of items that got done within this period).

But then again, it's just 2 months away and I still have SO MANY THINGS THAT I HAVEN'T DO!

September is gonna be very scary.. So many things to confirm! But well.. I work best when I am actually working so.. No sweat, just continue to do.

Roar!

As you can see, the orders are all messed up and SO AM I! At least I've settled the makeup...?

Getting a house and getting married at the same time is no joke :( We will pretty much die in September I think, with house renovations and furniture shopping and wedding prep all at the same time.

Anyways, the fun part was over! Other than the stupid eye, we had a good time during the photoshoot and even though we paid more than what we thought we would pay for additional photos..... I blame One Piece Restaurant!

Loved all the dresses that we picked out for the shoot~ The man has pretty good taste, I must admit! Can't wait to see all our photos in June :D

I've apparently also neglected this blog and had missed our birthday celebrations and our anniversary here! So... as a record, just 3 photos, one for each occasion:

Birthday Month.. or not?

2 months down the road (from the last update), we've settled so much more but GOT PLENTY MORE to do!!!!! Gosh I don't know how we managed to have soooo many things to settle, and really big ticket ones too like house and TW itinerary. Gah roar~

Perhaps that's why it doesn't feel like it's my birthday month. Soooo many things to do I have totally neglected the TW itinerary! Oh well... Today is the start of birthday "celebrations" (with dinner with bestie!) and so I hope the weekend will be a good celebration with the man!

And then it's back to housing and more wedding stuff.. I can't believe that we might actually have a house of our own soon! (maybe).

Wedding planning

is a bitch.

Guest list is an even bigger bitch.

But at least we've settled the really big ticket items like venue, date, photography etc..

Off to the many many many many many 1001 other things to do :(

Post Japan and pre-Wedding prep

Missing all the Japan food and scenery but not the freezing cold weather!

I'm just glad that most of the itinerary went rather smoothly and though we missed out on a few items, the days were not rushed (we did have to wake up quite early...) and we had time to enjoy the sights. Think I got brownie points with the mum for bringing them to loads of yummy food! Though not sure if those points are cancelled out by the walking..... hahahahah.

Also, officially engaged!

1.5 weeks into being engaged, I officially hate wedding planning. The guest list alone is killing me, and probably axing out the really beautiful places for small weddings. :( Why can't I just ROM and be done with it argh.

Oh well....
