Merry post-Christmas and hopefully not 2020 too

Excellent weekend!

There weren't any concrete plans for Christmas this year because of the restrictions (therefore lazy to organise anything). The man booked us a Xmas eve high tea at Ocean restaurant though, and off we went! It was awesome and we got to meet friend who was working at RWS for a chat too, so, awesome.

And because the kids were bugging us about swimming and coming over, I invited my uncle over for Christmas lunch. That was a frantic morning/afternoon as we paid respects to my fil and then picked up the family, came back and cooked while they swam heh. And the boy really apparently loved mac and cheese!

Ended Christmas day with bringing the naughty-py (well Treppy but he keeps biting me so I'm changing his name) to the park for his daily walk! Since I've been around dogs my entire life, I was comfortable doing that (but I think the man was visibly nervous... "got ppl!" "careful, got bike" -_-)

Started boxing day with a puzzle hunt at Chinatown! Had quite a good time trying to figure out the puzzles. And did hair treatment after that. So that concluded the weekend. Heh heh. Hopefully the same fun weekend for this week as we welcome 2022! (Please leh don't let it be another covid year again leh)

And December is almost coming to an end.

Fun times passed too fast eh.

Filled with outings this December and in another week, 2012 will end! And class will start again. Another round of studying every weekend, but I can survive it!

Full of fighting spirit when class hasn't yet started, lol.

Anyway, gonna enjoy my last few outings and reflect again when 2012 has ended. Hahaha. Xmas festive mood all around now!

It is December!!!

Time has passed exceptionally fast this year.

I'm pretty sure the part-time studies has got something to do with it. But the good thing is, the first semester is over! I am pretty worried about my passes but not letting it bother me because I have learnt that no matter how much I worry nothing is going to change. My marks have been fixed, somewhere someone is collating them and preparing to send them out. So instead, I have been working very hard at going out whenever I can. Exhausting, man! I should have a more relaxing week(day) next week.

December is again the lull period and I should make use of this time to do the stuff I normally wanted to do e.g. refining processes, introducing new items.

December is also the gifting period! Which reminds me that I need to source for gifts pretty soon. Not much time left..

I love December!

錢不夠用

Did a bit of finances just - realised that I have been spending way too much :( The alarm came when there was a need to transfer money into the spending account for the second time this month to pay off the CC bills at the end of the month. Gosh, it's time to save! I.Must.Save.

On the other hand, need to find time to write some xmas cards for the office people!!

It's so cold today I can just drop dead omg.

Festive season!

Finally the rounds of festive celebrations are over!

The rounds of binging with X'mas as an excuse started on Wednesday, went on to Thursday, Friday, and Sunday! (Saturday was relatively peaceful!?)

Meet up with the chem peepz is as always good (albeit whatever things that easily irritates me beforehand) and thought Raindrops had quite lousy service even though the food was not bad. The 1-for-1 fruit beer saved the day and ♥ haven't had it since Switzerland! We had a good chit chat session till 10plus and got home very, very late. Had a havoc Thursday when all the pear/raspberry vodka came out. But it was a good session of Wii-ing and gazing at Nicole and time passed by too fast! Friday was the office party and lots of food and getting suaned, as usual but it was enjoyable and colleagues are ♥ too! They always manage to make me feel good (:

Left the office very early to collect my redemptions from Panasonic - yes, I bought my new camera!! Loving all the shots that I can take with it now with the 10x zoom (: It DOES make a difference.. @_@ And I'm loving Panasonic already for their quick and efficient service!

Headed over to py's house for some more food time on Friday evening. Even though lots of food were available from Thursday all the way till Sunday, I somehow didn't eat alot at every meal - I think it's the alcohol getting to me! Thus was VERY hungry by the time I reached their hse but for the first time, the guys controlled and the food on the table was manageable? It feels good to not have the stuffed feeling after eating with them. LOL. Ended up playing mahjong.

Very late in meeting yx for our kbox session on Saturday! Very shocked that I didn't hear the alarm and woke up only when yx called!! It was barely 4 hrs of sleep yet I was so shocked at the thought of not waking up that I think I felt energetic the entire day! I think the highlight of the day was receiving my JJ tickets.. (: and to find that I am going to JJ Party 5! (PLS DON'T LET ANYTHING CLASH WITH IT. PLS.) Christmas day was surprisingly ordinary, with dinner with the family but some good time singing (again?!) and mahjong-ing with the family. Started Christmas by playing mahjong and ended Christmas by playing mahjong! And I concluded that this is a really bad yr for me to be playing mj since I seem to lose all the time! But then again, this year is ending in a week!! HURRAY.

And 張信哲 really ♥ leh! I'm gonna start k-ing all his old songs and new songs!!!! Whyyyy did I miss his concert this year!

Picnic today was a success and weather did hold up for some good kite flying time! It was a great day spent today and all the people lacking in basic manners can go and fly kite too, I ain't gonna care anymore!

And that ended all the festivities!

I'M SO SORRY CLEMENT!!!

Found the Christmas card FOUR MONTHS after Christmas, unopened.. Well done. And it's made me a tinge guilty about wanting to register for French but not doing it yet!!! Omg.

And it again reminded me that I was so busy last year to write any cards. Guilty guilty. Will write 'em this year!

I'm so sorry!!! Don't hammer me!!!

Early christmas present

I didn't do justice to the cute little penguin at the bottom, but nonetheless, it's such a cute tumbler! Got myself a very uber early christmas present.. LOL. Just an excuse to splurge money. But I thought it justified, since I haven't really gotten myself anything in a while, and I DID work hard the last month giving madness tuition. Lol. Yay I love the tumbler! Christmas is coming ~~~~

It's been quite a regular practice to just end up at starbucks after practice lately. But for some reason (maybe because laughing too hard :D), today's was more enjoyable than others. Can't believe we sat there from 8 plus all the way to 11 -.- Time flies when you're enjoying something.

This month has been a good month, for various reasons :) And we're finally going to Malacca! It's been too long. AND I'm going to meet the bestie for dinner next week, and everything has been going quite smoothly. Thank my lucky stars :)

Looking forward to the trip, and camp, and finally the concert!

Photos

Went to collect the framed photos in order to complete the set on Tuesday. It doesn't look like much, but try carrying this 40x60cm thingy and walking for 40min in heels. I guarantee you even the most tokong person will also feel pain :o

That about completed the set. :)

Celebrated Clement's belated birthday on that day as well, and I guess very rarely it happens, but it does once in a purple moon, that I'm actually later than Clement =.= So not used to that feeling! But I had super valid reasons, whereas he was at home sleeping =.= Found him the havianas he wanted and I guess that's the last of the presents we'll ever give one another! (with the exception of one of course) It signifies that we are really old alr :o to think that treating meals are just sufficient! But all in all, it was a very fun day despite wanting to die on the way to MS :s Thankyou Clement and Chongtang for helping me lug that thing. Lols.

Santa's gift should be arriving for everyone's soon, and I've received mine! I have to admit, my santa is pretty clever in using Bee's address as a return address.. :o I've nv even thought of that before! But well, I've sent out my present as well, hopefully my santee is happy with the present! I'm very happy with mine =D

Secret Santa's gift: screen protector and wallet shop voucher! I was only expecting the screen protector though.. My santa must have been =.='' to see my wishlist no.2: The pretty pouch from Wallet Shop with some french words on it! I didn't think that he/she would get me a voucher instead. Haha!!
Another santa who affectionately addresses me as laopo. :o THANKYOU! Even though I've nv even seen an eye mask before.. HAHA. :s

Merry Christmas to everyone yo! I'll be disappearing from the inet world for the extended weekend because the annual PA Camp is here :) *cross fingers for peace!

Post Malaysia

Just one thing I can and want to comment on, the rest are passé so I shan't harp on them: casinos are really dangerous.

Dangerous in the sense that money can fly away just like that, and one chip is easily RM50 or RM100, with minimum bets of RM10, RM50, RM100. It's even worse if you head over to the poker side, where the minimum bet is RM50 and THEN, if you decide to follow, you have to throw in another dangerous RM100. =.=

And I also saw that it's dangerous because the jackpot machine is so easily addictive -.-Sit down there and it becomes more and more logical to continue to sit down and recoup the losses if your RM50 bucks is finished in like, 10minutes. With the mindset: Oh throw in another RM50 later dio jackpot jiu huat lah!

And I have yet to mention the fact that people become hostile when you accidentally add in one more player for say, blackjack, and then the dealer gets very good cards. They will shoo you away and warn you not to add in new players even though you really feel like playing.

There are people who will, penniless, "offer" to help you put your stakes, then just take the money away before you can protest. If he wins, the winnings is split. "I help you win one mah". If you lose, be glad you still have remaining money!

And there are others who will breathe, eat, sleep in the casino. Play play, go take some free milo/tea/coffee. Or buy a bread. Eat le, continue to play. Tired le, go to reception counter: many seats for people to take a nap. Too bad I couldn't take photos, else I'll sure take everything down.

AND THE LAST AND MOST IRRITATING DANGER: You get lung cancer from breathing in too much irritating cigarette smoke. =.= wth.

Can I foresee Singapore's IRs to be like that also?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Very busy this December, in fact, I only have a couple of fully free days left, the rest of the days are either bogged up with gatherings, chalets, meet ups, lessons, tuition, PA, or work. I want to rest and relax! Some things on my mind.. Some things. Hmm. Learn to relax man, Joyce.

Ending my work here really soon. Time just whooshed! passed and it's gonna be end December in a couple of weeks! I don't know if I'll miss here, because I don't have strong relationships forged here in the first place. If I'm attending the xmas party, then let it be the last chance around for interaction! Meanwhile, dad keeps nagging at me to take up teaching as a job. It's not that I don't love teaching, it's just that I very much prefer to teach one by one.. And that maybe I still have this phobia of standing in front of a crowd. Plus, if I enter teaching, I'm not sure I'll want to get out at all. I would like to try other professions first before teaching leh..

Thinking if I should head down to Werks today or tomorrow to collect my grad photos. It's pouring.. Gonna have to go down alone. But it's ok. Like Ros says, I'm a lone ranger. Haha.

Lots of r/s problems for a lot of my friends recently. It's not supposed to be like that in the joyeux Noël season! :( Joy peace love everyone. Hope everyone's problems will be resolved soon, and we can all have a merry christmas.
